Mitsukurina Owstoni: Goblin Shark

This deep-sea shark features a distinctive flattened snout, a long, pointed nose that extends far beyond its jaws, and protruding nail-like teeth. The shark has elongated upper and lower jaws which can be thrust forward to capture prey. The body is soft and flabby, colored greyish-pink, supported by small, weakly calcified vertebrae. Long, slender fins allow it to navigate the ocean depths.
